LinkedIn Profile A year and a half after initial release of Windows Fader Screensaver I finally decided to release v2 I had ready for couple of months now. Lots of things are fixed in this release, everything works smoother and faster. I also added multi monitor support.

The project also has it’s own homepage now at

If you don’t know what Windows Fader Screensaver is…

What is Windows Fader?

Windows Fader is a free screen saver for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista.

It will gradually fade your screen to black or any other color. You can set the speed of fading and how dark you want it to be.

Although I'm not a big fan of screensavers, this one deserves to do the job. Simple enough yet brilliant :) Seriously, thanks for sharing!

Thanks a lot for this brilliant piece of art! normally I don't give feedback, but your work really deserves it. It's a pleasure watching my screen fade away! even the cursor has disappeared (which I would have criticized in the earlier version). working well with win 7.
