I have a history of loosing data. Lately I have been using excellent and free Mozy to do encrypted backups to remote location.

I'm using the free version that only handles backup of 2 GB so I'm not doing a backup of mp3s or photos, just documents, but it does an excellent job. It backups any changes in computers idle time. Few days ago I actually needed an archived version of a document. Finding a file wasn't quick but it worked.

I just installed another instance to do backup of Mojca's documents and had a hard time finding a free edition.  (there are also Home Unlimited and Pro version available). The trick is not to click "Sign up", but "MozyHome" and you'll notice "MozyHome Free" on the left.

If you plan to check out Mozy, please using my referral link or enter my referral code "4FCNS0", so I earn another 1/4 gigs of free space. Thank you!

I wanted to let you know about a cool new backup program that offers FREE, UNLIMITED backup.

With Zoogmo you control where your files are backed up by building a backup network of your own or your friends’ computers.

Zoogmo automatically backs up ALL of your data over the internet, using a combination of Triple-DES and AES 256 encryption to make sure that only you have access to your files.

Check out Zoogmo at to learn more and begin turning your social network into your backup network.

Remember, with Zoogmo you have no annoying monthly fees - totally free unlimited backup you can trust!
