I had the weirdest WordPress installation so far the other day. I run 5+ WP installations on this particular machine running IIS with no trouble. (I hope owners of those blogs don’t read this so the don’t start complaining about problems I’m not aware of)

But when I tried to add one more it failed completely. Installation went smooth as always, but opening starting page resulted in redirect to other WP blogs on same installation. Totally random. But I just could get the new blog to show. WTF?!

I tried everything, googled for the problem but only solution that I found was not to install WP in the root of the domain – e.g. but to it’s of folder – e.g.

Anyone had something similar to report? And even found a solution?

Done that, but that's a solution not an explanation what's going on.
