I just installed a Community Server 2.0 beta 2 on domain with the name of my future home. The site is not live yet but I hope I’ll be able to launch it around new year.

The installation of CS2b2 was smooth. Since I never had success with installing “sample data” in CS1 I didn’t install it here either. The software is beta and it shows. Right now I just can’t post anything on blog or create a new article thanks to DateTime.ToString() bug. I tried to fix it but it didn’t work for me. So I gave up for now. Blogs aren’t primary goal just yet so I think I’ll just wait for beta 3 and hope the bug is fixed by then.

I had some trouble uploading photos but I found an excellent tool for uploading images without web UI or FTP called CS Gallery Multi-Image Upload Option. I used beta 3 version It worked without a hitch and I cannot recommend it enough. I would just like to suggest to add another word to the title. Something like “pro”, “professional” or maybe “2005”. It would sound soooo much cooler.
