Trackback spam is another annoying spamming technique.

I was ignoring it for I while but tonight I installed a low-level solution as suggested by Stefano Demiliani - a trigger that filters comments/trackback posts from a specified black-list words.

There will still be some manual work for me but it will work better as no protection at all, but unfortunatelly the war is far from won.

The filter works good... obviously you have to update the banned word dictionary, but your blog will remain clean.
