I just completely crash my Windows XP. I was checking out a LibCheck tool from Microsoft and ran it's build script. Something weird happened during a build but I wasn't paying attention. The build failed and I quickly gave up.

After a restart machines doesn't boot. Some system files seem to be gone.

I'm currently repairing XP installation and writting this on my spare linux box.

I really wanna know what happened. Probably this was the last time I was running an OS doing reguklar stuff with administrative rights. I read and heard how bad that is at least gazillion times, but now I KNOW.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me so I don't have to reinstall everything. I would really really hate that.

Update 1: No luck. Repair installation just gives me BSoD. It's gonna be a long night. Machine has to be operational tomorrow.

Update 2: Morten knows what happened to me.

Update 3: My machine is back in business. Cleaner and meaner than before.
