There might be more machines with .Net Framework installed than one might think. It's not new, but I just realized that latest ATI drivers require the .Net Framework to run! Ok, not the actual drivers itself, but ATI Catalyst Control Center.

ATI probably has a lot of C++ programmers lying around. No doubt they could do it in C++ just as good. Well, probably better. This sucker is actually so slow that I might revert my drivers to old ones.

I have no idea why would ATI do something like that, but it's fine with me. I personally experienced what a pain in the but user can be, when trying to convince them to download and install 22 mb of something that doesn't even have any icon.

You don't have to install the control centre - on the driver download site there are two versions listed, one with, one without. So you can use the shiny new drivers without the bloated (and slightly useless) control centre.

Yes, I realize that. But I need a way to switch my second display between monitor #2 and my TV. Can I do that without CCC?
