Mobitel started first Slovenian on-line music shop. It's a start, but I'm not impressed at all.

Some of the shortcomings:

I don't see myself using, but I sure hope that others would. Maybe that would convince Apple to make iTunes Slovenia! ;)

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that (with few exceptions) Mobitel offers a great selection of artists never heard before in Slovenia... for now. I tried to browse the complete list of artist but I couldn't get passed the letter "F". There's the band named Fuschimuschi. I'm sure they're a great band but that name cracked me up! But than again, maybe it's just me....

I won't be using it either. No place for semi-compliant files in my world.

Besides, 0.99 USD is less than 240 SIT...

OD2 is also the host for MSN Music, here in Belgium. And in the beginning, there was a very limited selection. But they seem to be adding lots more artists and albums, some U2, Eminem, etc. are becomming available.

I do not appreciate the iPod and ITunes, as I already own a MP3/WMA player long time and just want to buy new content, not a new player.

Its just early days still with the online music stores. Apple did a great job making them look legal. But as usual, as time goes by, I'm afraid they will not be the one making the big money.
