I tried to use Unleash It to deploy my new pet project to server since it's features listed just about everything I need.

But I quickly ran into trouble as it just wouldn't deploy all needed files and it worked very slow if I tried to FTP my files. I turned out that I had some bad luck as version 2.1 had some bugs which Matt solved instantly.

But I still had issues with FTP. I exchanged couple of email with Matt and he was very friendly and cooperative and did everything he could to solve my problem.

We didn't solve it, but Matt has a trick up his sleeve but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell what it is. I'm sure FTP will work great in the next release. I also joined Unleash It beta testers group.

Unleash It, formerly known as WebDeploy, is a utility built with web developers in mind. It started as a simple application that would allow you to transfer files from one directory to another based on their file extension. Due to the growing nature of successful applications, and the need for more options, Unleash It grew to being able to transfer files based on a source directory or a Visual Studio Project to a destination directory, FTP site, or zip file.
