For several times now you mentioned an update to VideoLan VLC player, yet on their official download page there is no news about new version. Why is that?

Got a point there, Luka. It seems these are not official releases as I couldn't find the on main VLC page.

I ask about this version question on VLC forum. They have said the official 0.9.x version will be out in a couple of days (let's hope so). The source for 0.9.x is already available for download, the official binaries for mac and win are to follow.
