These are some links I bookmarked during this week. I'm posting them here for archiving purposes and they just might be useful for someone else.

Web development & ASP.NET

• AJAX Extensions File Upload Workaround - ASP.NET AJAX breaks default ASP.NET 2.0 FileUpload control and this is a workaround. Kind of. I didn't use it.
• Simple AJAX File Upload, Extension:UploadForm - Some alternative AJAX enabled upload controls. I didn't use any of there either, I just gave up on it and left it web1.0.
• Cache Status Firefox Add-on - I do sometimes have to clear cache to get the latest CSS or something and clicking through "Clear private data" is clumsy. Extension to the rescue!

Photography

• Post process breakdown for "silo reflection" image, Post process tutorial for "beaches reflection" - I really like pictures from Daily dose of imagery, especially the urban ones. These are two tutorials on his post processing techniques. So far I figured out three things - wide angle, pimped up colors and contrast. (I know, I don't have a clue. But I'm trying!) The best I could do so far is picture of Prešeren square. And I really want to get me an EF-S 10-22.
• The Panorama Factory - I case I ever want to do a panoramic photo.
• freerangestock.com- Ad based free stock photo site.

Vista

• Vista Sidebar Gadgets for Developers - few Vista gadgets for (.NET) developers.
• The Easiest Way to Resize a Large Picture in Vista - cool tip for quick image resizing, since image resizing powertoy doesn't work in Vista.
• Ave's Vista Apps - Some Vista enhancements. If you like stuff like Start++ you'll like these.

Networking

• FTP Drive - I'm investigating remote file access scenarios, and first I want to map FTP connection as drive letter in Windows. It works if you just need read-only access, which is not enough for my needs.
• Windows XP VPN Server, Windows XP VPN Client - VPN seems like a professional option,.
• Mapping WebDAV folder as a network drive letter - But WebDAV looks like a simplest version. I'm testing this right after I finish this post.

Blogging

• Slovenski WordPress - a fairly complete Slovene translation of WordPress by Simon Rozman. Although it says he has quit updating it, it looks like download page has links to translations for latest WP 2.2.1.

Software

• FileZilla 3.0 - FTP client of my choice has release v3. It also works in Linux now. You'll need to change a setting in order to make in portable.
• Foobar2000 FofR Configuration Guide - I really want to understand Foobar2000 one day. Really.
• PoshConsole - cool looking PowerShell console done with WPF. With Quake mode.
• Cinebench - sometimes I buy and setup machines for other people and this looks like nice testing tool.
• CPU-Z - portable app that show main hardware info. I added this to my tools collection.
