If you already upgraded Microsoft Office 2003 to Office 2007, you should also have downloaded this few free items from Microsoft:

Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS - Adobe gave Microsoft some hard time so "Save as PDF" is not included into Office 2007, but is available as a free download. You definitely need this if you ever produce PDF from your Word documents. No need for clumsy Adobe Acrobat at all. BTW, you still use Acrobat Reader? You should check out free, fast, small and portable Foxit Reader.
If you have trouble finding commands in new Office 2007 ribbon you should have Excel and Word Interactive Command Reference Guides handy. These are simple Flash applications that let you click on old 2003 menus and the app shows you 2007 equivalent. Dummy-proof.
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats - put this baby on your flash drive and send a link to all your friend/colleagues/customers that are still stuck with Office 2003. With this compatibility pack Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003 can open and create (!) Office 2007 files.
If you have to open a Office document and don't have any kind of Office program at your hand PowerPoint and Visio 2007 Viewers are available. Word 2007 Viewer and Excel 2007 Viewer are not (yet?) available, but you can use Office 2003 Viewers with Compatibility Pack (mentioned above) installed.

I'd also recommend the Tim Heuer's Foxit PDF Preview Handler for Outlook 2007 (http://timheuer.com/blog/archive/2007/02/27/14001.aspx) and the "peformance issues" Update for Outlook 2007 if you have large .pst or .ost files (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c262bcfd-1e09-49b6-9003-c4c47539df66&DisplayLang=en).

Also for easy access to free content on Office Online, such as training courses, video demos... download the Word 2007 Add-in: Get Started Tab for Word 2007 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=f587370c-fdae-4ede-b528-ac58031a5dff&displaylang=en) and Excel 2007 Add-in: Get Started Tab for Excel 2007 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=8A5AF9D7-08A7-41BA-8844-76BB94228957&displaylang=en). @Carlos: Did you try Excel 2007? You should, and then you would see that OO is way back... It works for general work, but for power user MS Office 2007 kicks some serious ass.

@David: no, no time to try Office 2007 yet, and it's not on my list of "things-to-try" anyway.

About the "general vs power" users thing, that's one of the things that bugs me more about MSFT. If you just want to do basic spreadsheet work, you can't get a free, lightweight version of Excel, from them. You need to buy the whole Office, and of course, with the upgrades forced down your throat every couple of years, you need to upgrade your machine just to do SUM()... which is shameless.

If you're a Power Excel user then, by all means, bite the bullet, drink the MSF Kool Aid, and be happy :-)

I'd add Slovenian Language pack... It's the included proofing tools that make the pack an essential download [if you write documents in Slovenian language, of course].
