I’m preparing to port my blog to Subtext from old (t)rusty .Text. For practice I ported Cogitation skin for .Text by Mark Wagner. I hope Mark doesn’t mind. That’s the skin I modified a bit and I’m currently using of Byte my bites.
So here it is: Cogitation for Subtext 1.9.3
Installation instructions:

Extract the contents of the “Cogitation-SubText193.zi”p file into a folder named "SubtextTextWeb/Skins/Cogitation".

Add the following line of code to the Skins.config file located in the "SubtextWeb/Admin" folder.

I have tested Subtext on separate installation and I like the progress Phil and Guys have made from .Text. Skins seem to be the weakest like so I guess every new skin will be appreciated.
Why I chose Subtext in favor of WordPress that I recommend for everyone else? I just don’t feel like leaving all links to my blog posts to result in error and certainly I’m not going to write custom redirector so they stay alive. With Subtext I keep both the design and current links. And of course – I can modify it to my needs, since it’s C# and open source. Why not Community Server? Because it’s big and it seems clumsy – and I don’t need forums and galleries and other features… I just need to run my blog.
